IN-HOUSE SERVICES

WORK CONDITIONING/WORK HARDENING

At Advance Rehabilitation our Working Conditioning/Work Hardening programs focus on progressing the patients to 3-4 hours of exercise/functional training per session, 3 days a week. At the end of 4-8 weeks, patients usually return to full duty work. Participants are reassessed every two weeks with reports being provided to physicians and insurance companies. If a patient is unable to return to full duty work, we can assist with case closure by performing a functional capacity evaluation.

FUNCTIONAL CAPACITY EVALUATION

A Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) is a test performed to determine an individual’s safe functional abilities. FCE’s at Advance Rehabilitation last 3-4 hours in duration. Tests results are based on Dept. of Labor standards and focus on measuring a client’s maximum voluntary effort, ability to perform material handling tasks, non-material handling tasks and work postures.
