I have a son, and my significant other has 3 daughters.  We spend lots of time hanging out with family.

Your “WHY” (why you personally choose this field of work):
Returning people to function and helping them to achieve their goals and resume their lives is obviously rewarding, but it’s the ones who come in who don’t believe they could ever do “that” that really get me going. Being a part of the journey with those who never thought they could achieve “that” is AMAZING!  The way their faces light up and they become ready to meet the next challenge in their lives…whatever it is (and sometimes it has nothing at all to do with therapy)…is unlike anything else. It’s very special when someone who has accepted their circumstances realizes their potential.

Also as a seasoned (nice way of saying old) therapist, I do love mentoring other therapists. We have a great community in which we all want to help better each other. There’s always something new to learn even for old therapists like me, and there’s always someone who is enthusiastic about teaching it.
